The JAECOO 7 has rapidly established a sizeable vehicle population in the United Kingdom. During the first six months of 2026, 23,840 units were registered, making it the UK’s third-highest registered model year to date at the end of June. As more vehicles enter everyday use, demand for accident-repair lighting components and exact OE-number identification is also likely to grow.
Current UK specifications and owner documentation show that the JAECOO 7 lighting system relies extensively on integrated LED units. Depending on trim and powertrain, the vehicle may use LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED rear lights, automatic lighting and intelligent high-beam functions. Exact equipment should still be confirmed for the individual vehicle.
This guide is intended for:
Independent workshops and accident-repair centres;
Automotive lighting distributors and wholesalers;
Vehicle importers;
Fleet repair companies;
Professional buyers sourcing JAECOO 7 or JAECOO J7 replacement lamps.
It covers the lighting products for which our current sourcing documents contain both an OE reference and a usable product image.
Image notice: The images on this page come from our existing sourcing records. They are used to help identify the products and do not indicate that the exact photographed units are permanently stored in our warehouse. Current availability, condition, included modules and lead time are confirmed during quotation.
The possible damage and diagnostic scenarios described below are general lighting-repair considerations. They should not be interpreted as evidence that these lamps are known JAECOO 7 reliability problems.
Product group | Position | OE reference |
|---|---|---|
LED headlight assemblies | Front, side to confirm | 605000778AA/ 605000779AA |
Front signature lamp / DRL pair | Front, function and side to confirm | 605000838AA / 605000839AA |
Daytime running light pair | Front, side to confirm | 605001416AA / 605001417AA |
Centre through-type tailgate lamp | Rear centre | 605001226AA |
Outer tail-light assemblies | Rear left/right, side to confirm | 605000750AA / 605000751AA |
The table deliberately avoids assigning left and right sides to OE pairs that have not yet been technically verified in our internal catalogue.
For an accurate quotation, the OE number should be compared with the VIN, original label, installation position and clear photographs of the original lamp.

Vehicle side: Confirm by VIN and original label
Example photos:

Example photos:
The two reference images show complete vertical LED headlamp units with external electronic and heat-management components.
Unlike a traditional halogen lamp, a modern LED headlight is not simply a housing containing a replaceable bulb. Depending on its design, the complete unit may combine:
LED light sources;
Projector or reflector optics;
Internal wiring;
Cooling components;
LED driver or control electronics;
Adjustment mechanisms;
Rear covers;
Mounting brackets.
The JAECOO 7 owner documentation lists the headlights and the other main exterior lamps as LED units and advises replacement through an authorised service centre rather than treating them as ordinary replaceable bulbs.
Common replacement scenarios for complete LED headlamp assemblies include:
Front-corner collision damage;
Broken mounting tabs;
Cracks in the lens or housing;
Deep lens abrasion;
Water entering through impact damage;
Damage to the rear housing or electronic module;
Connector damage;
Internal LED, optical or electronic failure confirmed by diagnosis.
A lamp should not automatically be replaced only because a lighting warning appears on the dashboard. The workshop should first inspect the power supply, wiring, connector, fuse, control module and diagnostic fault codes.
Similarly, a lamp with one broken mounting point may require a complete unit in some repair systems, while other damage may be repairable under an approved professional procedure. That decision should be made by the repairing workshop.
Not necessarily.
A reference photograph may show an electronic module attached to the housing, but this does not mean every quotation includes:
LED driver;
Headlight control module;
Levelling motor;
Rear covers;
Wiring;
Brackets;
Fixings.
Customers should state whether they need the bare lamp housing, a lamp with its original modules or a complete tested used assembly. Included components will be confirmed in the quotation.
The left or right side of the vehicle is only one part of headlight identification.
The destination traffic system must also be considered. UN lighting regulations distinguish passing-beam headlamps intended for right-hand traffic, left-hand traffic or both traffic systems. A lamp that physically fits the vehicle may therefore still have the wrong dipped-beam pattern or approval configuration for its destination market.
For example:
The UK and Ireland drive on the left;
Most continental-European countries drive on the right;
The lamp’s physical side and the vehicle’s steering-wheel position are separate fitment questions;
The approval marking and original label should be checked instead of relying only on an online listing title.
We therefore avoid promising that every UK and EU JAECOO 7 headlight is interchangeable.
A professional enquiry should include the destination country, VIN and a photograph of the original lamp label.
The JAECOO 7 front lighting design uses visually separate lamp elements. This creates an important sourcing problem: customers and supplier records may use the words headlight, front lamp, position lamp and daytime running light for different units.
That is why a description such as “left front lamp” is often not sufficient for a quotation.
Our current records contain two separate front-lamp OE pairs with product images.
OE references:
605000838AA / 605000839AA
Function and side: Confirm from original lamp
Example photos:
Some of our source records describe this OE pair as daytime running lights, while other records describe the same references as front lamps or headlights.
For that reason, this page uses the neutral description:
Front Signature Lamp / DRL
We will not label the unit as an upper DRL, lower DRL or main headlight until the function and installation position have been confirmed through the VIN, original label and vehicle photographs.
OE references:
605001416AA / 605001417AA
Vehicle side: Confirm from VIN and original label
Example photos:
This is a separate OE pair and should not be assumed to be interchangeable with 605000838AA / 605000839AA.
Even where both products are described generally as daytime running lights, differences may exist in:
Physical installation position;
Mounting points;
Connector design;
Internal lighting function;
Vehicle specification;
Production date;
Petrol, hybrid or plug-in-hybrid application;
Left and right sides.
Likely replacement scenarios include:
Front bumper or corner-impact damage;
Broken brackets or mounting tabs;
Cracked lens or housing;
Water ingress following physical damage;
Damaged electrical connector;
Confirmed LED or electronic failure;
Damage during removal of the bumper or adjacent panels.
The front bumper and wing should also be inspected when a front lamp has suffered impact damage.

Not always.
The JAECOO 7 owner manual explains that the daytime running lights operate when the engine is started and the low beams, high beams and front fog lights are not switched on. The DRLs turn off automatically when the low beam, high beam or position lights are switched on.
This means a customer may believe a DRL has stopped working when the vehicle is simply operating under a different lighting mode.
Before ordering a replacement lamp, check:
Whether both sides behave differently;
Current headlight-switch position;
Whether the low beam or position lights are on;
Dashboard warnings;
Fuse and wiring condition;
Lamp connector;
Diagnostic fault codes.
A confirmed one-sided failure, visible housing damage or communication fault may still justify replacement, but normal operating behaviour should be ruled out first.
The rear of the JAECOO 7 uses separate outer tail lamps and a long centre lamp fitted across the tailgate area.
These parts should be identified separately. Ordering the centre lamp does not mean the outer left and right lamps are included, and ordering an outer lamp does not include the centre light bar.
OE reference: 605001226AA
Position: Rear centre / tailgate
Example photos:
This long centre lamp carries the rear lighting design across the tailgate and incorporates the illuminated JAECOO-style visual element.
The most natural English product names are:
Centre Through-type Tailgate Lamp
Centre Connecting Tail Lamp
Tailgate Light Bar
The phrase taillights (through-type) may appear in supplier records, but it is less natural for a customer-facing product title.
One of our source records associates OE 605001226AA with a hybrid application. It should therefore be confirmed by VIN rather than automatically advertised as suitable for every petrol and hybrid version.
A centre tailgate lamp can be affected by:
Rear collision damage;
Damage to the tailgate panel;
Cracked lens;
Broken mounting points;
Water ingress following physical damage;
Wiring damage near the tailgate hinge area;
Connector damage during tailgate repair;
Confirmed internal LED failure.
Because the lamp is mounted on a moving tailgate, the workshop should inspect both the lamp and the wiring route between the vehicle body and tailgate.
If the tailgate is misaligned after an impact, installing a new lamp before correcting the bodywork may place unnecessary stress on its mounting points.
The centre lamp’s long and relatively narrow shape also requires careful packaging. Edge protection and internal support are particularly important when shipping it internationally.
OE reference: 605000750AA
Vehicle side: Confirm by VIN and original label
Example photos:
OE reference: 605000751AA
Vehicle side: Confirm by VIN and original label
Example photos:
The two OE references above represent corresponding outer rear-lamp units. The final left/right association should be checked before creating separate side-specific product pages.
Outer tail lights are exposed to:
Rear-corner parking impacts;
Side contact near the rear quarter;
Tailgate or bumper collision damage;
Cracked lenses;
Broken body-side mounting points;
Damage during removal of nearby trim;
Water entering a damaged housing;
Electrical connector or wiring faults.
Not always.
The workshop should first identify which function has failed:
Rear position light;
Brake light;
Direction indicator;
Reverse light;
Welcome or animation function, where equipped.
Possible causes can include the lamp itself, wiring, connector, fuse, body-control system or previous accident repair.
The owner manual identifies the main rear lighting functions as integrated LEDs and advises professional replacement rather than ordinary bulb substitution.
Where the fault is internal to a sealed LED lamp and the light source is not separately serviceable, replacing the complete assembly may be the appropriate repair. However, replacing the lamp will not resolve a damaged connector, wiring fault or control-system issue.
Lamp mounting tabs can break even when the lens remains intact.
This frequently occurs when an impact moves the bumper, wing or tailgate into the lamp. The customer may initially ask only for the visible body panel, then discover the lamp damage after dismantling.
Before ordering, the workshop should inspect:
Every mounting tab;
Adjacent brackets;
Bumper or wing mounting points;
Panel gaps;
Rear housing;
Connector location.
Light misting is not always evidence that a lamp is defective.
The JAECOO 7 manual states that in cold or humid weather, fogging can occur because of the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the lamp. It says this light fog should gradually disappear after the lamps operate and may take roughly 30 minutes after the low and high beams are switched on.
Further inspection is more appropriate when there is:
Standing water inside the housing;
Large droplets that do not clear;
Repeated heavy condensation;
A cracked lens;
Damaged rear cover;
Blocked or damaged vent;
Corrosion at the connector;
Evidence of previous impact.
The article should not tell customers that all moisture is normal or that every misted lamp requires replacement. The duration, amount of moisture and condition of the housing matter.
A scratched lens does not always require a complete lamp, but cracks and deep damage can affect:
Light output;
Beam distribution;
Water resistance;
Structural security;
Long-term durability.
UK MOT inspection includes checks on lamp operation, security, condition and headlamp aim. Original-equipment DRLs on relevant modern vehicles are also inspected for correct operation.
A replacement headlamp should therefore be installed and checked by a competent workshop rather than judged only by whether it illuminates.
The OE references shown above are within our current sourcing scope.
However, lighting components require more careful confirmation than many simple mechanical parts because two lamps with a similar external appearance may have different:
Vehicle sides;
Traffic-system specifications;
Approval markings;
Connectors;
Control modules;
Software or hardware revisions;
Mounting arrangements;
Lighting functions;
Powertrain or trim applications.
Customers do not need to identify every technical detail before contacting us.
For an enquiry, send the information currently available, preferably:
VIN + OE number + original lamp photos + required quantity + destination
Useful photographs include:
Front of the lamp;
Rear housing;
OE label;
Electrical connector;
Modules;
Mounting tabs;
Damaged area.
Our team can review the available information and advise which additional details should be confirmed before quotation.
Depending on the specific OE reference and current lawful availability, quotation options may include:
Original / Genuine lamps;
OEM or OE-supply lamps;
Aftermarket replacement lamps;
Used take-off lamps removed from donor vehicles.
Not every supply type is available for every OE reference.
The quotation will state the offered product category rather than describing every lamp generally as “OEM quality”.
Original or branded components remain subject to:
Current lawful availability;
Export eligibility;
Brand-distribution restrictions;
Import requirements in the destination country.
For used take-off lamps, current photographs and condition information should be requested before ordering.
Particular attention should be given to:
Lens scratches;
Broken mounting tabs;
Housing repairs;
Condensation or water marks;
Connector condition;
Included electronic modules;
Evidence of previous installation or repair.
The lighting products shown on this page are currently sourced and shipped directly from China.
They should not be described as permanent UK or EU warehouse stock.
Delivery time depends on:
Current sourcing lead time;
Destination country and postcode;
Product size and weight;
Required supply type;
Packing method;
Express, air, road, rail or sea transport;
Customs clearance.
Headlights and tail lamps require careful packaging because damage can occur to:
Lenses;
Narrow lamp ends;
Mounting tabs;
Rear modules;
Connectors;
Decorative surfaces.
Packaging may include reinforced cartons, shaped foam, suspension packaging and separate protection around mounting points.
The centre through-type tailgate lamp requires particular attention because its long shape can be vulnerable to bending or edge impact.
Current availability, packing method, estimated delivery time and freight cost will be included in the quotation.
Our current records include 605001593AA and 605001594AA as a headlight pair.
The vehicle side and exact application should be confirmed using the VIN and original label. Do not choose only from the appearance of an online photograph.
The destination country should also be stated so that the headlight’s traffic-system and beam specification can be reviewed.
Our sourcing documents contain:
605000838AA / 605000839AA
605001416AA / 605001417AA
They should not be assumed to be interchangeable.
They may relate to different front-lighting positions, functions, configurations or vehicle revisions. Because the source names are not fully consistent, we recommend using the OE label and an installation photograph rather than relying only on the description “daytime running light”.
This does not always indicate a fault.
According to the owner manual, the DRLs operate when the engine is started and the low beam, high beam and front fog lights are not switched on. They turn off automatically when the low beam, high beam or position lights are turned on.
Check the current lighting mode and compare both sides before ordering a replacement.
Light temporary misting can be normal in cold or humid conditions.
The manual states that this fog should gradually disappear after the lamps operate and may take around 30 minutes after the headlights are switched on.
Persistent heavy condensation, standing water, housing cracks or corrosion should be inspected professionally.
The JAECOO 7 uses integrated LED exterior lamps rather than conventional replaceable halogen bulbs for the main functions listed in the owner documentation. The manual advises service-centre replacement for the LED units.
Whether the complete lamp, an external module or another component is required depends on the diagnosed fault and the manufacturer repair procedure.
Do not assume that it can.
Physical fitment is only one consideration. The passing-beam specification, approval marking, destination traffic system, vehicle side, connector and module configuration should also be checked.
UN lighting regulations distinguish lamps designed for left-hand traffic, right-hand traffic or both systems.
Not automatically.
Some lamps are quoted with modules, while others are supplied as the housing and optical unit only. Used take-off lamps may retain some attached modules, but the exact contents vary.
The quotation will state which modules, covers, connectors and brackets are included.
After replacement, the workshop should at minimum check:
Headlamp aim;
Low and high beam operation;
DRL and indicator functions;
Dashboard warnings;
Diagnostic fault codes;
Automatic and intelligent lighting functions where fitted.
Headlamp aim is part of the UK MOT lighting inspection.
Coding, initialisation or module matching may be required for some configurations, depending on the supplied lamp and electronics. This should be determined by the repairing workshop using the applicable diagnostic and repair information.
No.
They are sourcing-reference images taken from our existing company documents. They demonstrate that the products and OE references have appeared within our supply records, but they do not prove that the exact photographed unit is currently in our warehouse.
For a genuine enquiry, we will confirm current availability, condition and included components.
Depending on the OE reference and current lawful supply, we may be able to quote:
Original/Genuine;
OEM or OE-supply;
Aftermarket;
Used take-off.
Not every OE is available in every category. The exact product type will be stated in the quotation.
There is no single delivery time for all lighting products.
A confirmed lead time depends on the OE reference, available supply type, packing requirements, destination and transport method.
The estimated sourcing, packing and shipping time will be provided after the enquiry details are reviewed.
