BYD ATTO 2 Fan Runs After Locking: Normal A/C Behaviour or a Repair Issue?

Why Does My BYD ATTO 2 Fan Run After I Lock the Car?

You park your ATTO 2, lock it, and hear a fan start again. It is easy to assume something has failed. In this case, the ATTO 2 owner's manual offers a straightforward explanation: after the A/C has been used, the cabin blower may run for a while to dry moisture on the evaporator. This helps prevent odours.

Owners have asked about this behaviour in an ATTO 2 forum discussion. A short fan run after locking is not, by itself, a reason to order a new blower or compressor.

What if the Car Is Not Cooling Properly?

That is a different question. In German owner discussions, some drivers describe automatic temperature control that feels too cold or too warm, while others report satisfactory cooling. Those are individual experiences; they do not identify a failed component.

Before requesting a part, note what actually happens:

  • Does air come from the vents, but fail to become cool?

  • Does the temperature change unexpectedly only in Auto mode?

  • Does the problem continue when you select a temperature and fan speed manually?

  • Is there a warning message, unusual noise or persistent smell?

The answers help a workshop decide what to inspect. A temperature-control complaint does not automatically mean the condenser or compressor is defective. If cooling remains poor or a warning appears, have the system checked before buying a replacement component.

The list identifies catalogue entries; it does not establish that a China-market component fits every export ATTO 2. It also does not cover ATTO 2 DM-i applications.

If your workshop has diagnosed a component, send us its number or a clear photo of its label, together with the VIN and destination country. If you are repairing your own car, you are welcome to enquire too. Contact sales01@gzhella.com, WhatsApp +86 18513787764, or our contact page to check the reference and current availability.
